What is the Online Video Trimmer?
The Online Video Trimmer is a free, browser-based tool that lets you cut any video down to exactly the clip you need. Upload your file, set the start and end times using the text inputs or the visual range slider, preview the selection, then export — all without installing software or uploading anything to a remote server.
It runs entirely in your browser using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so there is zero upload wait time and zero risk of your footage being stored on someone else’s server. Trimming uses stream-copy mode, which means no re-encoding and no quality loss.
How to Trim a Video
- Upload your file — click the upload area or drag and drop a video file (MP4, WebM, MOV, etc.).
- Set the range — enter start and end times in MM:SS format or drag the visual range slider to select the segment you want to keep.
- Preview — click “Preview from Start Time” to jump the player to your selected start point and verify the clip.
- Trim and download — click “Trim Video” to process, then save the trimmed file to your device.
